In-Person Training
Bring Accessibility to Your Team
Sometimes a live training session makes more sense than an online course.
Public Sector Digital Media Academy grew out of live, in-person professional development. While I eventually created PSDMA to make that training available on demand, I still offer a limited number of in-person sessions each year for organizations that want hands-on training with their own team.
Because I continue to work as a school district webmaster, my availability for travel is limited. I currently accept a maximum of four in-person training sessions each year.
Training Built Around Your Organization
This isn't a presentation where I show up, run through a slide deck, and leave you with a stack of things to figure out later.
Before your training session, I'll review your website and select two documents currently published on your site. During the training, we'll use your own content as part of the learning process.
We'll test pages from your website, identify accessibility issues, and work through the remediation process together. I'll also walk your team through rebuilding the two documents I selected, showing you how to approach the accessibility issues from the beginning rather than simply fixing them after the fact.
The goal is for your team to leave with more than an understanding of accessibility requirements. You'll have experience applying those principles to the content you're actually responsible for managing.

Limited Availability
I only schedule four in-person training sessions each year. This allows me to continue working as a school district webmaster while making time for organizations that want this type of hands-on training.
When you submit the request form, you'll be asked to provide your preferred date or dates, along with alternative dates that would work for your organization. Once I receive your request, I'll check my calendar and reach out to confirm the date or see if one of your alternative dates will work.
If you'd like to bring accessibility training to your team, complete the form below. Tell me a little about your organization and what you're looking for, and I'll get back to you with availability and a quote.
Cancellation
For training within the complimentary travel zone, training may be cancelled up to 14 days before the scheduled training date without penalty. A $150 cancellation fee will apply to cancellations made less than 14 days before the scheduled training date.
For training requiring additional travel, travel arrangements will be booked using fares that allow for cancellations or changes. The same 14-day cancellation policy applies.
